Quantity Surveyor - Western

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Western Quantity Surveyor (Rail/Metro) to work for a main contractor on the Doha Metro project , Qatar

Job Role:
- Principal areas of responsibility will be: Estimating, Quantity Surveying, cost control / reporting, general administration
- Preparation of bills/schedules of quantities (material, labour, service)
- Preparation and evaluation of tenders
- Management of invoices
- Control, planning and management of costs
- Ability to be client facing and quickly create good working relationships
- You will need to be able to work on projects form design stage through to implementation working with the Bid and estimating team to deliver successful projects
- Assist in managing the tender cost throughout the bid process through to financial close and during handover to the construction team
- Responsible for Contractual Disputes

Requirements

- Must be western with a degree from a Western university
- Must have at Rail / Metro experience
- Must speak Fluent English
- Must have international experience preferably Middle East
- Must have Contracts and Claims experience
