Resident Engineer / Construction Manager

Job description / Role

- Responsible for overall field contract management, administration and coordination.
- Ensure that the contractor's works are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications and Contract Documents.
- Ensure monitoring on the quality of materials and workmanships installed, operated and maintained.
- Liaise with Client, Project Management and Contractor for resolution of project issues, in addition to concerned Authorities when required.
- Supervise, review, monitor and report on progress.
- Liaise with all parties for site safety.
- Monitor assigned staff and implement on site procedures to assist them performing their work efficiently.
- Maintain awareness of contracts financial status
- Give final approval to works and arrange handover.

Requirements

- Recognized degree in Architecture/Engineering
- Minimum 15 years professional experience in large/complex projects
- Minimum 5 years experience in airport projects and at least one aviation hangars

Preference goes to candidates whom are:
- Experience in wide-span steel buildings
- Western/European Educated
- Have a degree in Architecture
- Chartered or have a Professional Engineering membership

The project is titled the Amiri Flight Facilities and it takes place in Doha, Qatar; specifically in the New Doha Int. Airport (NDIA).

AFF encompasses the construction of 55,400 sqm building area flight hangar for storage and maintenance of Aircrafts; the Hangar is estimated to house 13 Aircrafts.

Our client is acting as Project Management Consultants (PMC) and they would be responsible for managing this project from inception to final handover.

Salary Package:
- 45,000 QR/month
- Vehicle
- Mobilization Air ticket
- 1 Annual Air ticket
- Government Healthcare
- Single Status but if the candidate wishes to get his family then they will assist with the process but he will have to bear their expenses.
