Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a major fashion retailer is looking to recruit a Store Manager based in Qatar.

Within the sales strategy defined, the general mission is to locally develop the presence of the brand by managing the Store located in Doha, Qatar:
- Development of product sales,
- Team management,
- Running the operations
- Participating to communication and public relations projects
- Optimising their efforts in coordination with the other stores of the company.

In line with the commercial policy and in the frame of the Brand Group policy, the store manager carries an intention of permanent and active development of their business and of the business more widely.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

Sales
- Through his frequent presence in contact with customers, implementation of all means necessary to achieve sales objectives.
- Setting an example to the team by acting as the first ambassador to customers.
- Maintaining close and consistent relations with certain customers (VIPs, regular customers, etc.) and intervening personally when a sale falls under their competence.
- Checking the presentation and appearance of the store in line with the brand’s representation criteria.
- Solving the conflicts or commercial difficulties with the clientele
- Offer an after-sales service by following up repair, delivery and special orders.
- Survey the competitors’ projects or events

Management of the sales team
- Coordinating and motivating the team to provide a consistent level of service to customers.
- Recruiting, integrating and training sales staff in terms of product and the art of selling the brands products.
- Organizing the breakdown of tasks, fixing objectives, assessing the results of the sales team, proposing annual wage reviews.
- Regularly organizing opportunities for friendly discussions to guarantee the circulation of information, improve the operation of the store and ensure the self-fulfilment and development of the team.
- Solve the possible conflicts or disputes within the team
- Inform the team about events in the local subsidiary and in the Group

Operations
- Drawing up and monitoring the budget in cooperation with the Sales-Operations Department and other departments (purchases, sales, payroll, communication).
- Working closely with the merchandising and buying team, to propose the buying plan every season, in terms of budget repetition and styles.
- Achievement of objectives fixed within the framework of the operating account.
- Drawing up management statements and forwarding them on a monthly basis.
- Stock management.
- Ensure that the staff are working in safe conditions and inform them of preventive actions to take
- Give a regular feedback of the business to the Sales Manager

Communications and public relations
- Representing the company and brand names to existing or potential customers in the city by organizing events and opportunities to present our products.
- Acting as the company ambassador to the customers and every other people that can interact with us.
- Compiling a customer database and updating it permanently.
- Developing a local customer and VIP network
- Proposing an annual store promotion plan.

GENERAL PURPOSE
- Achieve the commercial objectives determined by the budget
- Create a warm and lively atmosphere in the store
- To act as an example towards the sales associates / advisors on all his/her areas of responsibilities
- Assure the general upkeep of the store according to company and brand's standards
- Run the store in compliance with company and brand's procedures
- Develop customer loyalty and exceed their expectations.
- Embody/represent the Brand.
- Coordinate the sales team in a spirit of welcome and positive construction, ensuring each individual’s personal progress.

Requirements

- Good Education background
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a Retail environment – Store Manager luxury brand is a must
- Leadership, communication, time management and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English/ French and Arabic is a plus
- Team player, flexible and friendly.
- Smart presentation and Fashion passionate.

Salary is circa 25,000 AED.
