Sales Engineer - Electrical

Our client is a leading service provider to oil & gas industry in the state of Qatar, the companys fully equipped modern workshop produces repairs and manufacture components to meet stringent quality assurance standards.

Their facilities include Machine Shop, Welding & Fabrication Shop, Electrical Shop and Mechanical Shop. Also, the company is major electrical equipment provider the oil & gas industry within Qatari market.

Reporting to the business development manager of the company, the incumbent will be play a key role in supporting and expanding business by expanding market awareness of the company products and expertise, managing project sales and relationships with customers, and bringing critical customer requirements back into sales processes.

Accordingly, the job holder needs to:
- Work with our business development team to grow the companys service business of electrical motors, transformers, generators, OH lines , switch gears , transformer oil filtration, and analysis .
- Be responsible for the sales in Qatari market for above electrical service offerings.
- Manage, interpret customer requirements and communicate with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
- Carry out product and service pre-qualification and registration process with new markets, registrations and approvals with the customers
- Process all enquiries pertaining to electrical services.
- Liaise with OEMs for technical & commercial proposals
- Generate technical sales proposals and contracts and submit to customers after approvals.
- Timely follow up quotations submitted and convert the enquiry into orders
- Report precise market trends, competitor activities, sales forecasts and prospecting on aftermarket products.
- Provide accurate monthly sales reports to the management
- Determine primarily market potential areas and deliver sales plan strategy accordingly.
- Assist the Business development Manager in following up on the leads provided so as to convert an opportunity into a business venture
- Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions
- Make technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;
- Work closely with the estimation and operations team to ensure deliverables are being met.

Requirements

- Possess bachelor in electrical engineering gained form reputable university.
- Should demonstrate enthusiasm / exceptional skills in technical sales for the same industry
- Who is who in the market as well as market knowledge is a must.
- Possess excellent command of English, Oral and written
- Has at least 6 to 8 years of work experience in selling services / products to Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power and Industrial segments. These products are LV / HV Motors, Transformers, Generators, Switch Gears, Transformer Oil Filtration, Oil Testing and Analysis.
- Should be familiar with industrial / oil & gas plant maintenance requirements.
- Having knowledge in instrumentation for the same industries is an added value.
- Possess excellent Commercial and business acumen
- Possess people skill with excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Should demonstrate strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
- Experienced who can demonstrate Proven Success / Track Record in a Technical Sales Role
- Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft office incl. PowerPoint, MS project
- Possess valid driving license in any GCC countries
