Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to their finance team to participate in all aspects of internal and external financial reporting and intercompany functions including preparation of consolidated financial statements and all intercompany transactions.

This role is responsible for the following:
- Assist with preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Extract data from ERP system on ad-hoc basis for analysis and evaluation. Identify appropriate internal resources or subject matter experts to assist where necessary.
- Work directly with Management to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial reporting, including internal and external monthly financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly cost center reports.
- Interact closely with members of internal and external audit departments to ensure accurate reporting/disclosures and full compliance with all internal/external accounting and reporting standards/controls, including interpretation of new accounting standards.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and validity of all Intercompany transactions, including consolidated revenue/expense and profit eliminations.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for all intercompany accounts.
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, where necessary.
- Analyze financial performance and make recommendations for future policies and actions.
- Act as business partner with management to provide recommendations to improve month end processes, financial controls, forecasting, and general analytics.
- Experience with GL operations and reporting chart of accounts, account reconciliation and analysis and internal financial reporting.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance with 7+ years of financial and management accounting experience. CPA, ACCA or equivalent is essential.
- ERP system experience preferred.
- Experience with consolidations and creation of financial statements and footnote preparation preferred.
- IFRS experience with comfortable understanding of Media Industry related Standards.
- Experience verifying, balancing and analyzing numeric data.
- Strong computer skills with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Media specific industry experience preferred.
