Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: Develop and maintain all necessary economic models, conduct fundamental market analysis, provide analytical support for new and existing sales opportunities and support QG’s external reputation.

Key Accountabilities:

Modelling:
- Maintain project economic models in order to evaluate the financial impact of proposed changes to the sales portfolio and other key changes in parameters, e.g. fiscals or yields, for both the State and Shareholders primarily in terms of IRR, NPV, and cash flow.
- Develop new and continuously improve existing economic models and evaluations, as required and directed by the Head of Economic Evaluation.

Analysis:
- Provide accurate, reliable and timely intelligence to the Marketing Department and C&S Management with regards to existing and potential competitors and customers and develop a view on fundamental developments in the natural gas and LNG industry affecting the prospects for Qatargas’ LNG.
- Evaluate proposals for new and existing LNG sales in relation to quantities, pricing, shipment size, method of payment and other relevant terms and conditions and develop recommendations and counter-proposals based on solid market intelligence and data analysis.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of short, medium and long-term LNG Marketing Strategies and Plans.
- Maintain a marketing database and analytical tools to support Marketing objectives.
- Conduct cost and benefits analysis of activities by reviewing existing processes/systems and recommending potential improvements.

Other Business Support:
- Support the enhancement of Qatargas’ external reputation by preparing speeches, presentations, industry reports and other external content as and when required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university in an appropriate discipline (Business, Economics or Finance)
- Minimum 8 years professional experience in a business support or marketing role in the hydrocarbon industry including 3 years in a LNG corporation.
- Knowledge of all aspects of economic analysis and preparation and interpretation of economic models associated with LNG sales contracts.
