Senior Contracts Manager (Claims) - Major Highways Scheme - International PMC

Job description / Role

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager – Planning, carrying out analysis of claims by the relevant Contractor and Consultant for additional time and compensation/preparation of the necessary reports.

Duties:
- Management of all aspects of contractual claims arising from the execution of contracts as part of the programme management consultant’s role on a major programme of infrastructure development works in an ethical manner at all times, in accordance with procedures.
- Interface with all teams, especially Operations and Contracts Administration, in line with overall program deliverables.
- Developing and executing processes and procedures to anticipate, where possible mitigate, handle and advise on all aspects of contractual claims.
- Prepare high quality recommendation reports.

Requirements

- Sound knowledge of the contract administration aspects of major civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in procurement and contract administration.
- 15 + years post graduate experience.
- Experienced user of MS Office and project management software.
- Undergraduate degree, ideally MSc or Law or membership of a recognised International Professional Body e.g. CIArb, MRICS or equivalent.
- Experience in international contracting mechanisms e.g. FIDIC
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken.
