Senior Contracts Manager (Planning) - Large Civil Engineering Scheme - Qatar

Working with the Senior Contract Manager – carrying out analysis of delays, impact analysis and disruption events, as claimed by the relevant Contractor and Consultant for additional time and compensation and preparation of the necessary reports.

Duties:
- Analysing Consultants’ and Contractors’ schedules and progress reports.
- Perform critical path analysis of relevant schedules.
- Prepare independent schedule impact analyses of complex claims and change orders.
- Drafting of counter claims in respect of contractor and consultant extension of time claims and related cost claims.
- Analysis of concurrency and the relationship to the individual claim.
- Independent forensic programme analysis, both prospectively and retrospectively.
- Review and analysis of monthly and weekly reports associated to Contractors’ and Consultants’ Claims.
- Coordination with Area teams, Consultants’ and Contractors’ as required.
- Input into and preparation of monthly and weekly reports.

Requirements

- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience.
- 10 years post graduate planning experience with 5 years forensic planning experience.
- Sound knowledge of all commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6, Pertmaster and MS Office.
- Experienced in preparing, presenting and negotiating Time Impact Analyses on complex construction and consultant claims.
- Thorough understanding of key scheduling issues such as float, concurrent delay, offsetting delay, constructive acceleration, impact on unchanged scope and the cumulative effect of delays to the schedule.
- Experienced in Legal proceedings (arbitration, adjudication, etc.)
- Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
- Excellent English-language written and oral communication skills.
