Senior Corrosion Engineer - Gas Processing

Required to join a consultancy working with a gas company in Qatar. The Senior Corrosion Engineer will look at new and ageing assets subjected to sour service condition in energy sector for both onshore and offshore facilities.

Responsibilities include
• Develop corrosion control document for plant equipment and piping according to the nature of corrosion and damage mechanisms associated with the plant facilities.
• Develop corrosion related procedures and processes to support asset integrity management system.
• Develop corrosion circuits for plant equipment and piping according to the nature of corrosion and damage mechanism in support of RBI strategies.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria
• BSC/BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering or in Metallurgy.
• 10 years relevant experience in inspection, corrosion prevention in gas processing plants, corrosion control, failure analysis and material selection in gas processing plants, oil and gas industry and offshore installations.
• Chemical cleaning, corrosion inhibitor injection regime& monitoring of corrosion control parameters.
• Skilled in use of CIMS, SAP, RBI and MS-Office software packages.
• Candidates with API 571 Certification will be preferred
• Extensively trained and formally qualified with broad experience in corrosion management with significant relevant experience in international oil companies plant operation
