Senior Design Coordinator

Job description / Role

Our client is an award-winning firm of architects, urban and master planners, interior, landscape and structural designers, engineers, quantity surveyors and project and design managers and are looking for a Senior Design Coordinator to join their expanding team.

Your job role:
- Works closely with the Design Manager to ensure the achievement of the project goals and objectives.
- Ensures proper coordination between different design teams.
- Responsible for the proper implementation of the design management plan.
- Facilitates the implementation of the BIM procedures within the design stages.
- Enforces and manages the compliance of all sub-consultants within the contracted technical scope.
- Shall assess and raise any gaps in scope between different design parties/sub-consultants immediately once found; works with the Design Manager on the mitigation plan should there be findings.
- Shall work and cooperate with design discipline heads to facilitate any possible challenges due to working remotely.
- Assists the Design Manager in putting the agenda of the monthly meeting with the Client in coordination with PMCM.
- Attends and facilitates periodical meetings/video conferences with/between the different design parties.
- Shall have the main role in preparing design related reports and action plans in coordination with relevant parties.
- Shall ensure meeting the agreed deadlines and raise challenges that would affect the time compliance ahead of time for proper mitigation actions.
- Works closely with the Design Manager, Cost Consultant and Design Team to ensure the adherence to the project allocated construction budget.
- Shall ensure building the required safety in the design considering the applicable codes and standards.
- Ensures the full compliance of FIFA and SC design guidelines and requirements.
- Responsible for the implementation of an adequate level of quality control procedures of all the design activities

Shall have main role in putting a design management plan that would address the following:
- Design Scope
- The design stages sequence and deliverables
- The design responsibilities within the design team
- The design stage timeline in view of the baseline schedule
- The quality measures
- The quality control procedures
- The quality assurance procedures
- Design documents numbering and control
- Change management and control
- Communication/interfacing between design team and the PMCM technical SMEs.

Requirements

- Degree in Architecture or Engineering;
- 10+ Years Relevant Work Experience
- With FIFA Compliance World Cup Stadium Experience
