Senior Design Engineer (Substation)

Job description / Role

The role holder is responsible to provide technical, commercial, legal and financial advice to Head of Design Engineering related to substation projects design in Kahramaa’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, by performing activities including handling technical issues related to the design, supervising the design, participating in the tendering and contracting processes and providing technical expertise to all external consultants when required, in compliance with all established standards and international practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, post-graduate degree preferred.

More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar industry of which minimum 4+ years of supervisory experience preferably in Extra High Voltage (EHV) and power transmission projects related to SCADA – Telecom.
