Employment: Full Time

We are looking to hire Directional Driller for our operations in Qatar.

Location : Doha, Qatar

The Directional Driller performs directional drilling services and promotes the Schlumberger culture. The Directional Driller plans, executes, and manages all phases of a directional drilling job to deliver services that meet client expectations and Schlumberger standards. He/she also provides technical support to clients and other Schlumberger crew members at the wellsite. In addition provides Service Delivery with flawless Service Quality and no HSE incidents in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures. He/She reports directly to Product and Service Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities

- Fully responsible for pre-job planning and mobilization.
- Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the clients to ensure repeat business.
- Has required proficiencies for the services relevant to the job and must be certified competent as Directional Driller as per the D&M equipment standards.
- Fully responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to the client.
- Leads any directional drilling job and is the focal point for all DD activities on wellsite
- Fully responsible for pre-job planning (equipment and personnel) and mobilization
- Demonstrates knowledge of all DD techniques and all surveying methods used in the location.
- Develops expertise on advanced well planning techniques using Drilling Office
- Documents all Incident / accident events on the job, and at the office, in Quest.
- Assists clients by providing solutions for drilling issues.
- Prepares end of well reports / client's final product delivery.
- Acts as the Drilling & Measurements - client focal point for drilling operations at the rig site.
- Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site.
- Maintains good communication with the Client's well site representative, rig crew and D&M field support staff
- Ensures all Drilling & Measurements reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on a timely basis
- Provides quality answers and solutions to the customer's questions, requests, or problems.
- Complies with all Company & Regulatory HS&E & Quality and IT standards and policies. Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required & maintains required HS&E & SQ certifications up to date.
- Performs Risk Analysis (eg. HARC, JSA) before each job or task and identifies & addresses potential safety hazards. Corrects and report hazards immediately in QUEST or to Supervisor.
- All other duties as assigned by PSD Manager

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

- Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent
- 3-7 years' of relevant experience as Directional Driller with proficiency in various tools related namely Xceed 900/675, PowerDrive900, VorteX, 962 Motor and Anti-collision, horizontal drilling, ERD
- Able to work in Qatar as per the local regulations
- Must be fluent in English
