Senior Drainage Engineer

Job description / Role

A local client is looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer for mega infrastructure projects in Qatar.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of feasibility studies and design work relating to major drainage projects in Qatar, particularly strategic surface water tunnels, pumping stations and marine outfalls.

Requirements

* Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized university
* Chartered Civil Engineer with at least 20 years post graduate experience.
* At least 10 years experience in the design of drainage tunnels including segmental tunnel construction in a marine environment.
* Experience of preparing drainage masterplans / drainage area plans.
* Familiar with computer modelling of drainage networks using InfoWorks software.
* Experience in real time control, flood mitigation and prevention, and day to day operation of complex drainage systems which include: large diameter drainage networks, major pumping stations, attenuation facilities and flow controls.
* Excellent english is a requirement.
* Middle East Experience is preferred.
