Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client are one of the worlds largest, most recognised and respected Consultancies, that provide services across the whole built environment and project life cycle. With a professional headcount over 15,000 personnel operating in over 60 countries, our client have delivered some of the most recognised projects.

Our client have been managing projects in the middle east for over 50 years, their office in Doha - Qatar has been awarded some of the most prestigious multi billion dollar projects in the country. The average project is worth in excess of 1BN dollars, with a life line of over 5 years - projects are within the construction, rail and heavy civils/infrastructure sector.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer Consultancy side / Client Side experience to work on one of their landmark projects. Initial project is a multi billion dollar construction project for the government, which includes the construction of residential housing, barracks and leisure elements.

Duties will include:
- Supporting the design team
- Production of engineering design reports Production of engineering specifications for tender purpose

Responsible for electrical design of the following systems:
- Power systems
- Lighting & Emergency Lighting systems
- Fire Detection and Alarm systems
- Lightning Protection systems
- Providing leadership and technical advice to engineers
- Coordinating with other design disciplines for design integrity
- Reviewing projects to the requirements of the business QA procedures
- Acting as discipline lead on selected projects
- Supporting with client liaison & project approvals

Requirements

- A Degree in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in major consultancy firm
- Sound knowledge and ability in the electrical design works HV & LV power networks, electrical substations (11KV), Street lighting networks, hard and soft landscaping lighting networks and other associated electrical related works for various infrastructure utilities pumping stations (like sewerage, storm water drainage, irrigation and Fire fighting etc.)
- Familiar and experienced in design to international standards
- Familiar with the construction supervision as well as with the international codes, standards and practices/guidelines
- Experience and knowledge of local practices and procedures in NOC application to service authorities and organizations
