Senior Estimator

Job description / Role

Our client are one of the longest established and most highly regarded Oil & Gas EPIC Groups in Qatar, having delivered thousands of projects during their time within the Qatar Oil & Gas sectors.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Estimator for their Doha office.

Duties will include:
- Review the tender documents within the set timeframes.
- Lead the proposals by supervision the preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and proposals documents.
- Consult with other Departments to formulate the estimations and technical proposal (i.e. civil, electrical, instrumentation, planning, QA/QC, HSE, P&M,…etc).
- Prepare the scope of work of each Department involved in bid.
- Responsible for the entire technical proposals development life cycle from proposals REP (Request for Proposals) release to post-proposals submission (technical clarification).
- Liaise and correspond with national / international vendors and subcontractors involved in bid.
- Responsible for risk mitigation solutions during various stages of bid process.
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Develop BOQ by following the Client / End-user Price Schedules.
- Prepare the proposal plans and schedules (if required)

Requirements

- BE / BTech / BS degree in mechanical engineering.
- 10 Plus years’ experience estimating / proposals implementation for medium to large sized EPIC / Construction Contractors related to Oil & Gas Industry.
- Strong Estimation / Proposals skills.
- Be currently working as a Senior Estimator – Estimating Engineer or within the Tendering Departments.
