Job description / Role
Global main contracting construction company based in Qatar has an immediate vacancy for an experienced (MEP) Senior Estimator, working on a variety of projects across the GCC. They are offering a new opportunity for a commercially astute Construction industry expert with a proven track record of a minimum 5 years' experience of estimating on building and civil engineering projects in the Middle East.
Duties include;
- Estimating and cost planning, deal with pre and post contract amendments.
- You will be providing MEP Estimating knowledge to the existing commercial team and raising the businesses understanding of MEP packages. Suitable candidates will have a relevant degree, significant construction experience with 15 years post graduate on site being key. You must be able to demonstrate strong customer focus allied to your exceptional team management skills and all round commercial awareness. 5 years on projects in excess of $100 million.
Responsibilities include
- Evaluate tender documents
- Interface with the local market
- Formulate bills of quantities
- Formulate pricing and tender submissions
Requirements
- Degree in relevant field
- 15 years post graduate on site experience
- Experience of estimating aspect of mixed use development projects in excess of $100m
- 3 years middle east
- Awareness of the local markets
- Excellent English language communication skills both written and verbal
- Solid technical understanding
- References to prove technical understanding
Package details
- This senior position will offer a package in the region of:
- 40,000 QAR - 55,000 QAR with usual benefits
