Senior Finance Officer - Treasury & Risk Management - Qatar Airways - Doha

As Senior Finance Officer - Treasury, you will be supporting the team's activities in connection to oil and foreign exchange hedging and risk management.

You will be accountable for the following:
- Identify and estimate the impact of fuel rate volatility on the company's financials
- Maintain the hedged portfolio pursuant to internal policies and procedures
- Review the market developments in oil and foreign exchange markets, read market research on these topics, attend and participate in bank analyst calls.
- Screen, evaluate, prepare analysis for, negotiate, and execute trades in connection to oil and foreign exchange hedging from time to time.
- Review the market-to-market and the Greeks of the portfolio on a daily basis and prepare daily, weekly, monthly and and ad hoc reporting and analysis to senior management.
- Review and maintain all trade related documentation including ISDA agreements, CSA agreements, deal term sheets, and confirmations.
- Participate in various training programs such as for Reuters, Bloomberg, and Super Derivatives.
- Coordinate with other teams outside of Risk Management such as Fuel Procurement, Legal, Management, Accounting etc.
- Prepare and manage forecasts for oil and foreign exchange markets.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with hedging counter parties.
- Coordinate information for year-end planning, budgeting and audit cycles.
- Oversee and supervise employees.

Requirements

Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) and preferably a post graduate degree in finance/accounting/economics related subjects. CPA/CA holders and academic experience in connection to risk management topics are an advantage.

Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience and possess a natural interest and curiosity in financial markets and macro-economics. Candidates will also have some work experience in areas such as accounting, corporate finance, risk management, trading, research or economics.

In addition, candidates will also have excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and have proven managerial skills.
