Job Summary: Plans and executes audits in a manner that conforms to the highest professional standards to meet the department’s audit objectives.

Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage the execution of audit assignments in accordance with agreed approach and department standards.
- Report on the effectiveness / adequacy of internal controls and compliance to policies and procedures to safeguard the assets of HMC; including value added recommendations to improve HMC’s business processes and controls.
- Provide an objective overall risk assessment of the auditee entities in line with approved audit methodology.
- Provide expert advice in assigned areas of specialization for introduction of best practices in risk mitigation and management.

Specific Responsibilities
- Assists Head of Information Systems Audit in developing and implementing a risk-based IS audit strategy and objectives.
- Plans specific audits to ensure that the Information Systems audit strategy and objectives are achieved.
- Develops detailed understanding of the activity under audit, including risks and controls.
- Assesses risks and internal control strengths and weaknesses. Develop audit work program;
- Executes the work outlined in the audit work program. Document the work performed and conclusions in work papers.
- Obtains sufficient, reliable, relevant and useful evidence to ensure that the organization’s information technology and business processes are adequately controlled, monitored and assesses, and are aligned with organization’s business objectives.
- Analyzes information gathered to identify reportable conditions and reach conclusions.
- Communicates audit results both verbally and in writing so they are persuasive and placed in the appropriate context, and understood by the auditee.
- Advises business stakeholders on control best practices within their processes to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
- Share expertise and experience with the audit team and act as a coach to new auditors.
- Participate in special projects by conducting specific and technical review/investigation activities.

Requirements

- Essential Education: At least a four-year college or university degree
- Preferred Education: Major in Science, Accounting, Information Systems, or Computer Science

Required certification/licensure:
- CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001
- CPA, CIA, CA Experience

- Essential Experience: Minimum five years combined working experience in Information Systems Auditing, Internal Auditing, or IT Management
- Preferred Experience: Of the minimum five years working experience, three years should be solid experience in Information Systems Auditing

Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Profiency in Arabic an advantage

Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with personal computers and typical office software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- ACL or other audit/data analytic tools required.
- Working knowledge of network and internet tools an advantage.
- Programming skills an advantage.
