Senior Landscape Architect

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Landscape Architect for our prestigious multi-billion project in Doha, Qatar.

- You will have experience working in a landscape architectural design consultancy and/or for a developer, municipality, etc.
- You will have previous experience on international waterfront, public realm, resorts, commercial and mixed use projects
- You will have project management and documentation experience.
- You will be familiar with all phases of design tender documentation, production, reports, submittals, etc.
- Candidates are preferred to have experience in landscape engineering/site supervision.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages consultant deliverables per clients schedule
- Reviews proposed hardscape/softscape and materials for local compliance, quality and suitability to local conditions
- Ensures designs and drawings are compliant with municipal standards and client requirements.
- Ensure designs/deliverables compliant with scope of work and contract requirements,
- QA/QC design deliverables for completeness, utilities coordination, clash analysis and constructability
- Submit and track comments, queries, technical clarifications, etc
- Review materials samples, shop drawings, performance designs for compliance with specifications

Requirements

- Degree Qualified in Landscape or equivalent
- Concept, detailed design and tender document preparation
- Minimum of 12 years experience in design/construction
- Ability to manage design and specialists consultants
- Strong experience/grasp of landscape architectural project management process
- Extensive knowledge of local/regional methods and materials for construction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Acad, Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe, Primavera/Project Manager
