Job description / Role
AECOM are currently seeking and experience landscape architect in Doha. The successful applicant will be a thought leader, developing initiative and driving AECOM's design responses to issues impacting the profession. The ideal candidate will form part of the management team to lead, develop and produce quality products, as well as implementing practice plans and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the coordination of assignments within the project team, and liaising with other discipline Project Managers or as directed by the Associate. Driving design development and preparation on projects, establishing creative solutions based on clients goals and within the technical capacity of the local construction industry.
- Preparing and presenting landscape designs to clients and approving agencies including specific technical expertise in land use planning, landscape architecture and urban design.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and project delivery management procedures.
- Liaising with government departments and other agencies to obtain and verify design standards and criteria, and to secure requisite approvals. Providing guidance to other designers, technicians and CAD operation in the performance of their duties.
- Working with senior staff and leadership to push the edges of design thinking across multiple projects and in general within the studio environment
- Providing further assistance to senior staff as may be required from time to time.
Requirements
A minimum of 7 years experience in Landscape Architecture is required.
Strong abilities working within Creative Suite, CAD and Microsoft office and additional skills within 3D design platforms including Rhino, Sketchup, and 3D Studio Max are advantageous.
