Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading Construction Company in Qatar. On behalf of our client we are recruiting and experienced Legal Candidate

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of legal development affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company’s transactional practices.
- Advice senior company executives on legal risks associated with transactions.
- Counsel, advise, and consult senior company executives based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity.
- Strategize with senior company executives prior to client negotiations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a large number of complex client transactions within a corporate environment.
- Represent company’s interests and interface directly with client counsel and negotiating teams.
- Responsible for foreseeing and protecting company against legal risks.
- Manage both in-house and outside legal resources.
- Develop internal guidelines and packaged knowledge on various legal and business issues.
- Prepares legal briefs, develops strategy, arguments, and testimony in preparation for presentation of a case.
- Represents company in court and before judicial or administrative agencies of government.
- Prepare business contracts, settle labor disputes, and administer other legal matters.
- Settling disputes and supervising any agreements.
- Prepares and examines contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, etc.

Requirements

- Masters degree in law from a reputable University.
- Must have 10 years of experience as a licensed attorney preparing for, participating in, and/or reviewing formal hearings or trials involving litigation and/or administrative law in the State of Qatar/ GCC Countries.
- Fluency in English & Arabic
- Experience in international organization, or construction industry.
- Independently manage drafting transactional documents and correspondence.
- Responsive and follows through on commitments.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence, strong executive presence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
