Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

In charge of the Manufacturing facilities. Will lead the SQCD (Safety / Quality / Cost / Delivery) of orders to customers and leading the changes in its departments to achieve international manufacturing standards as well as developing people to reach professionalism and anticipate growth

Job Scope:
- In charge of all Manufacturing & Maintenance activities in SQCD matters of Salwa’s site / Ras Laffan Site
- Reports to General Manager and is the appointed Management Representative (MR). And Deputizing for General Manager in his absence.
- Manage and responsible of the employees in his scope with charisma, determination and clear communication.
- Responsible for 350 personnel approx.
- Various responsibilities which includes basic and professional industrial tools such as (but not limited to) 5S / SMED / Kamban / OEE / PDCA / Visual Management / Lean / Six sigma

Requirements

Candidates must have 10 plus years Energy and Industrial experience to implement all necessary processes and controls to operate a large manufacturing facility. Experience of leading from the front (on the shop floor) a headcount of over 100 employees. Minimum requirement of Green Belt and/or Black Belt experience .

Environmental Condition:
- Environmentally controlled conditions in office.

Physical Demands:
- The position may require some local travel to various sites.

Mental Demands:
- Stress may be caused by the need to complete tasks within tight deadlines

Person Specification:
- Preferred Education: Mechanical or equivalent Engineering Bachelor Degree
- Preferred Experience: Around 10 – 15 years’ of experience as Production or Operational Manager in Mechanical field.
- Preferred Qualification: Engineer having attended relevant equipment maintenance trainings by various OEM.
- Black Belt or equivalent

Preferred Skills:
- Charismatic, well organised and structured.
- Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification & closing skills.
- Superior presentation & excellent oral & written communication skills.
- Average commercial acumen & a record of confidence dealing with middle managers through to decision makers.
- A comprehensive knowledge of machine tools used in the field, such as CNC Lathes, Oil Country Hollow Spindle Lathes, Vertical & Horizontal Borers, Universal Milling Machines, Tool & Cutter Grinders, Cylindrical & Vertical Grinders, Computerised Torque Turn Make-up units, Swage press etc. is essential.
- The capability to undertake major analyses of equipment histories, and maintain within the sections comprehensive statistical and technical data of machinery performance.
- The capability to control a schedule of diagnostic surveying and performance evaluation by directing on-site investigations, which involve using specialist technical equipment such as boroscopes, alignment telescopes and vibration analysers etc.

Computer Literacy:
