Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Doha

We are urgently looking for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, to oversee and develop the mechanical engineering team within a leading UK based engineering consultancy in their vibrant office, centrally located in the heart of Doha.

The company concerned are one of the most highly regarded engineering consultancies in the world, known for completing highly prestigious projects from high rise towers to hotels, rail, residential complexes, health care and infrastructure works. 

They are looking for a strong, self-motivated, degree qualified Mechanical Engineer - (ideally MCIBSE or MIET qualified or near chartered) to lead the mechanical team and act as project manager on various high profile projects. 

Requirements

- Candidates with UPDA Grade A certification will be given preference.
- Must have significant experience and a proven track record in the field of mechanical design for building services engineering which should include HVAC, Plumbing and Fire protection systems from conceptual through to detailed design.
- Minimum of 7+ years` experience in buildings design and construction with a reputed firm of consulting engineers in the UK or overseas.
- Although not essential, it is preferred that candidates will have knowledge of the Middle East (ME) region and specific knowledge of the various authority submissions processes such as Karamaah DEWA, ADWEA, ADDC etc.
- Excellent awareness of other building services disciplines such as Electrical engineering as well as architectural and structural engineering services and should be familiar with REVIT 3D modelling concepts.
- Must be an excellent communicator at all business levels along with excellent written English skills and report writing ability.
- Be familiar with MS suite of software, particularly Word and Excel packages, as well as standard mechanical industry design software packages such as Hevacomp.

An excellent tax free salary in the region of 28,000 - 32,000 QR per month plus expatriate benefits including medical cover and flights are available for the successful candidate.
