Senior Planning Engineer (MEP)

Job description / Role

We are an 'A' Grade MEP Contracting Company based in Qatar. We are looking for a very dynamic, proactive and talented Senior Planner with detailed knowledge and experience of MEP construction works, and Technical Planning and Primavera aspects.

The successful candidate shall be self dependent, have the ability to work without supervision to handle the following responsibilities:
- Preparation and maintenance of the project work break down structure and subcontractor detailed schedules
- Coordination with Construction, Engineering and Procurement project teams
- Attend meetings on behalf of the company with external parties and internal meetings
- Analyse and prepare report on schedules and progress of the work
- Analyse and finalize EOT schedules and what-if-scenarios
- Perform critical path analysis of schedules
- preparation of monthly and weekly reports

Requirements

- B.Sc./ Post Graduate degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years experience, out of which 4-5 years experience as Senior Planning Engineer in any reputed MEP company
- An experienced person of Primavera P6
- Should have sound knowledge of all engineering & commercial aspects of MEP projects
- Excellent knowledge of CPM networks, resource and cost loading and risk management techniques
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyze progress, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Excellent report writing skills
- Experience in GCC countries in an advantage
- Good knowledge in MS-Office package
- Good communication skill (read, write & speak) in English
- Capable of Planning & Organizing
- Proactive and willing to accept responsibilities
- Should be a team player
- Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills
