Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

- Project Estimation/Tendering.
- Provide Pre-construction services including the preparation of preliminary budgets, cost plans, and value engineering opportunities.
- Develop strategies to create a competitive tender submission.
- Coordinate preparation and perform of full detailed quantity takeoff estimates, identifying inherent risk and opportunities.
- Study tender document and raise tender queries.
- Send Tender inquiries and obtain quotations from specified vendors/alternative vendors
- Preparation of price comparison and price breakdowns,
- Complete knowledge in Joinery work pricing
- Pricing direct cost, Indirect cost items and Preliminaries.
- Understanding of unit pricing.
- Determine general expenses and provide input into the margins/fees.
- Analyze subcontractor requirements.
- Assisting in project planning and scheduling.
- Preparation of technical submission.
- Preparation of Commercial submission.
- Compiling Tender for Submission.

Requirements

- B. Sc. in QS with at least 10 years of experience.
- ID Fit-out back ground – ID Fit out works
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities.
- Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
- Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
- Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.(Cost & Progress Monitoring)
- Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepares project reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Preparation and submission of Monthly Valuation and Final Account
- Preparation of Monthly Payment Certificate for Subcontractor and Suppliers.
- Identify Variations, Send Notifications and Submission of variation with complete backups based on Contract Conditions.
- Identify, analysis of delays, Send Notification and Submission of EOT claims and Prolongation Cost
- Sound knowledge in contract condition (FIDIC, Qatar General condition of Contract etc..)
- Sound knowledge in CESMM3,SMM7,POMI etc..
