Our newest opportunity is for a talented (Chartered) Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our award-winning team based in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for implementing cost management of large projects in type, size and complexity including all associated facilities, equipment, and special systems of the Project.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Demonstrating expertise in preparation of Tender documents for construction and consultancy services.
- Preparing tender documents, follow tendering procedures, tender queries, tender evaluation, award procedures and contract documentation in accordance with the standard procedures.
- Implementing commercial/contractual matters within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Being accountable for Value Management to control and establish project budget.
- Being accountable to provide capital or asset costs including development costs.
- Ensuring the terms of the contract are followed and manages supplemental agreements.
- Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts.
- Assessing and reporting upon client's variations to the construction works and claims for changes from the contractors.
- Identifying performance issues that need to be brought to the attention of the Manager QS.
- Examining project variations and changes, prepare project reports, analyze information for adjustments to project budget as necessary to assure a successful project for the client and the firm.
- Measuring works on site and from drawings including knowledge with electronic measurement systems.
- Examining and interpret contract conditions.
- Understanding, identifying and assessing project risks.

Requirements

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience from a similar role within a consultancy (client side), partnered with Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering. MME/ UPDA License is required for this role.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors will be viewed favorably.
