Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading Contractor who is based Qatar seeking a Senior Quantity surveyor & Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:
- Check the stamped drawings issued for construction and its compliance with the tender drawings and specification
- Assuring that the construction team is following the project stamped drawing with the latest revision
- Review and approve all the materials request issued from site/office prior to the process of the procurement and ensure it is with the right code
- Check the BOQ items and inform the PM/CM about any discrepancies with the drawings
- Review and approve the subcontracts payment certificates with the right code
- Maintain the expanse within the budget and raise immediately the flag for any items beyond the budget
- Coordinate with PM/CM and prepare the monthly progress valuation and submit on time
- Review all the claims raised by subcontractors and advice the PM/CM whatever it is a V.O
- Follow up with the QS of the client the approval of drawings/V.Os
- Key responsibilities to prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities, perform risk and value management and cost control and also to advice on procurement strategy
- Undertakes costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work, identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks prepare and analyze cost for tenders
- Assist in establishing a clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies; providing advice on contractual claims

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years Experience in contracting field as Q.S
- 4 to 5 years minimum experience in GCC
- Fluent in English (Speaking & writing)
- High skills in price analysis and rates
- High negotiation skills
- Computer knowledge
- Degree Qualified in relevant field
