Employment: Full Time

Job summary

Support to develop and implement all security activities across the organization’s building and office sites based on best practice, ensuring organization standards for security and State of Qatar guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support the unit formulate, develop and coordinate security investigation functions of the organization’s building and office sites
• Assist the Head of Security in developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reviewing Security Policy, programs, procedures, guidelines and standards
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with relevant external security vendors, agencies, contractors, and appropriate organisations
• Maintain contact with external stakeholders on potential issues and preventive measures
• Supervise the day to day security guard operations within the organization. Inclusive of monitoring and reporting of guard assignment instructions
• Ensure security guard training needs in relation to security and the Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Develop and deliver training sessions for security personnel
• Support the security management system of visitors into the Corporate Headquarters
• Support the security of office sites and office facilities i.e. employee parking, vehicle registration for employee and visitors
• Actively participate in security programme to assess security risk in organization building and office sites, coordinate with organization departments as needed. Contribute to its development and implementation of plans, processes and procedures to prevent, mitigate, respond and recover
• Investigate or, where appropriate, assist others to investigate the circumstances or security incidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence, including keeping written records of the investigation and action taken
• Support development and review of all security contracts and projects related to security of the building and office sites
• Identify, select and apply qualitative and quantitative measures to evaluate and document the need for specific security, training and awareness programs and processes
• Liaise with End User Security staff and Governmental or Law Enforcement agencies on all mutual related Security aspects
• Ensure that all Operational Security and safety equipment is well maintained and recorded in maintenance logs
• Supervise the Operational Staff to ensure that Loss Control Procedures are followed in terms of all Permit Systems. E.g. Removal, Tool and Access/work Permits
• Handles incidents such as evacuation, alarms, strikes, work stoppages, other disputes as per the procedures
• Participate in the preparation and maintenance of Security Procedures and Assignment Instructions to ensure that they remain in line with current and prevailing security risks

Requirements

Education and certifications

• Bachelor degree in HSSE or relevant discipline
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred

Experience and skills

• 10 years of experience in security related roles
• Good understanding of security regulations in Qatar is an advantage
• Experience in security initiatives
• Understanding of safety, security, and quality compliance
• Team leadership skill, customer focused service delivery and advanced MS PowerPoint skills are a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a prerequisite
