Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Processing of L/Cs & non-LC Export documentation adhering to UCP 600, ISBP norms examination of documents under UCP 600, URR 725 URC 522 and INCOTERMS.
- Review L/C at the drafting/opening stage to assist Importer to open L/C and advise necessary changes (i.e. amendments) ensuring compliance with all requirements listed under any given L/C.
- Ensure workable L/C is received before shipment and enter accurately L/C text in computer system (SAP) & generate any given documents under L/C.
- Skillful in negotiating error free shipping documents with banks & discrepancy solving skills
- Providing correct information to prepare full-load port survey reports by Independent Surveyors.
- Engage with Sales teams, Treasury and banks in maintaining policy / approach towards bank securities sought from customers (e.g. L/Cs v BPOs v Bank Guarantees, Standby v Documentary L/Cs).
- Ensure bank securities (predominantly export L/Cs) are requested, received, formats and wording acceptable, and processed timely, such that transactions with customers are not delayed.
- Ensure appropriate competitive L/C pricing from the confirming banks and that this process does not delay ongoing sales, and that actual fees are reconciled to agreed pricing.

Salary:
QAR 25,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Graduate / Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or other related discipline from a recognized university
- 10 -15 years of (international) experience in Banking / Treasury / Trade Finance
- Relevant professional certification such as CPA, CA, CFA, CMA, etc.
- Exposure in a similar industry (Oil, Gas, Petro-Chemicals).
- Good working knowledge on Letters of Credits (Usance & At Sight, Back-to-Back L/C), Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC), Bank Guarantee (BG).
- Good knowledge of L/C requirements of product specific - Chemicals / Petrochemicals / Fertilizers / Sulphur - import country requirements of specific documentation
- Proficient in ERP systems – SAP, Oracle, Business Objectives and Outlook E-mail business communications.
- Excellent business communication and correspondence skills.

- Trade Finance Experience - Petro Chemical Industry is a must.
- Proficient in ERP systems – SAP, Oracle, Business Objectives and Outlook E-mail business communications
- Good working knowledge on Letters of Credits (Usance & At Sight, Back-to-Back L/C), Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC), Bank Guarantee (BG).
