Service Manager - Qatar

Key Responsibilities:
- To manage the Field Service Operations covering Qatar and focus on the development of the service infrastructure with emphasis on increasing service revenues through the maintenance of current customer accounts and the development of new customers business.
- To be the key performance criteria for success being the growth of revenues and increasing utilization/ profitability for the business.
- Discuss and negotiate with customer’s ways of meeting their demands for Training and Field Services whilst focusing on long term growth and the development of support contract and associated revenues.
- To promote existing customer services to satisfy the local customer base.
- To work closely with the Service Management Team in developing new Service opportunities.
- To Manage and Supervise the Field Service Supervisory team and Field Engineers in the supported Service areas.
- To motivate, develop and evaluate individual performance. Identify training requirements and implementing individual training plans.
- Control and Monitor Field Service performance and develop and control departmental budgets and expenditure.
- Develop, negotiate and administer site support agreements and the on-going renewal process
- Advise the Service Management Team on resource and facilities requirements for the Field Service Operation.
- Assist the Service Management Team in meeting the overall financial and performance objectives for the Technical Services Department.
- Perform customer support and service functions in case the situation demand.
- Manage service contracts to meet all aspects of contractual obligations to customers as well as maintain healthy financial performance.
- Achieve the targeted utilization of Field Service personnel.
- Perform any other duties as may reasonably be required as directed by Service Management Team.

Requirements

- Degree in Electronics/Control Engineering.
- Formal Commercial training.
- Detailed Product experience.

Required Experience:
- DCS Foxboro or ESD Triconex system experience
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a Field Service/Service Business Development role with at least 3 years Supervisory experience.
- Business Development in Middle East countries in a Service environment, experience of working with major petrochemical customers.
- Position requires a reliable, self motivated and articulate individual able to communicate at all levels within Foxboro and customer personnel.
- Possession of sound managerial qualities, commercial awareness, literate and numerate.
- Ability to manage and lead a team of Field Service personnel.
- Capable of logical and original thought able to operate under stressful conditions and often in a difficult operating environment.
- Must be prepared to travel widely and often at short notice.
