Simulator Engineer - Qatar Airways - Doha

This role will deliver simulator maintenance activities that directly support all training operations and maintenance checks using career developed specialised knowledge and expertise to make sure all SIM's are running safely and effectively. As the Subject Matter Expert on these L3/Thales simulators technology from a software background, skills required include FFS, APT, Server rooms and SEP equipment maintenance team to ensure all equipment is running at maximum availability.

The role will provide specialized knowledge, skills and expertise as required to ensure safe, effective and efficient operation and all regulatory requirements are met and achieved. This covers such things as hydraulic systems, visual systems, avionics systems etc and many others. The role supervises lower graded Engineers to ensure standards and targets are met! This also includes being responsible for the final release of work accomplished by lead simulator technician.

Requirements

You must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent and have at least 7 years of significant experience in the maintenance of full flight simulators and FTDs. A high level of English communication is necessary and any ability to communicate in Arabic is most welcome.

You must be able to offer extensive experience in full flight simulators maintenance and parts debugging. Specific skills sought is solid experience with L3/Thales simulators technology, strong knowledge of Rockwell Collins visual maintenance and strong knowledge of SEP equipment and maintenance. You will plan activities and operate equipment and use tooling, review work procedures and standards and propose improvements to ensure work processes are effective.

Importantly, the role will ensure that simulators maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with policies and procedures.
