Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Coordinate, Supervise and monitor all electrical construction related activities performed by contractor at site
- Follow up and monitor progress and milestones achievement as per schedule
- Responsible for periodically reporting of progress against program
- Ensure the proper recording of all events which may lead to delays of works, claims or extension of time for completion of works.
- Record keeping on a daily basis as work progress include DPR, POB and site photos
- Monitor implementation of HSE plan by contractor at sire and participate in inspections and meetings.
- Review construction drawings, contractor’s method statements and monitor compliance with SOW specifications.
- Assist in design changes if required.

Requirements

To qualify, candidate must be a Degree qualified Electrical Engineer with over 10 years of experience. Candidate must be experienced in substation construction in the Middle East for at least 5 years and dealing with contractor and client representatives with the following Technical Understanding:
- In-depth understanding of large EPIC Projects internationally and Middle East (Qatar, UAE, Kuwait)
- In-depth knowledge/understanding with regards to project implementation from supervision, inspection and project management gained through various positions held in large EPIC Projects as a main EPIC Contractor from internationally renowned Companies.
- In-depth knowledge/understanding on Kahramaa specifications, code and practices and International Standards (IEE, BS, ANSI, etc)
- In-depth knowledge/understanding of Electrical Works and good engineering practice with regards to the review of Method Statements/procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, Material approval process and drawings.
- Knowledge and understanding on the implementation of QA/QC procedures on electrical works
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety Procedures and requirements at construction site
- Knowledge and understanding of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Procedures Tests and Inspections of substation equipment.
