Sportswear Designer – Qatar
Leading Retailer & Wholesaler

Qatar is booming and the retail sector is following suit. Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler is currently experiencing further expansion and growth and they are now seeking an experienced Sportswear Designer to join their team to develop, lead and manage the design process and product range for their sportswear line.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Manage parts of the design process with a focus on sportswear, to include conceptual direction, trends, fabrications, styling, trims, technical renderings/specification sheets, while adhering to design/development calendar.
- Researches emerging trends and styles to formulate strategies for projected lines.
- Provides innovative designs and concepts to strengthen the brand image and maintain competitive edge.
- Conduct Market Research and develop product ranges based around a core theme.
- Provide instant design service to enable customers to visualize ranges in their specific colours.
- Create technical packs for the Products.
- Other duties as directed to assist in the successful design and launch of an innovative sportswear range.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Retail/Fashion/Sporting Design.
- Ability and flair to design men's, women's and children's ranges, while following and identifying future sporting trends.
- Minimum 3 years’ in designing for global sporting brand preferred.
- Proven experience in Garment design & sports merchandising.
- Strong initiative, creative and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and computer and design software expertise essential.
