Job description / Role
The incumbent will manage the execution of high-rise towers to ensure the completion of the job within specified budget and timeframes, in an organized and cost effective manner and to the required quality standard within the project specifications.
Key responsabilities:
- Managing day to day operations of project construction right from the inception through to completion and handing over.
- Managing, coaching and leading the project team.
- Managing the co-ordination with the consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project parties
- Experienced in detailed project planning
- Exposure to Project Budget Control
- Managing project deliverables in line with the project execution plan.
- Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.
- Managing project scope and change requests control and escalating issues where necessary.
- Monitoring and controlling project progress and performance.
- Providing status reports to the executive management
- Review of drawings and specification for its completeness and accuracy.
- Review the conditions of contract and manage the tendering process.
- The project manager must be able to manage three towers at the same time
- Preparing and presenting monthly reports on the progress and fortnightly look ahead plans
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management. ( MBA - management or PMP certificate is a plus)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction industry in civil works, interiors finishes with main contractors
- UAE/Qatar Experience in high-rise residential and commercial towers is a must.
- Good understanding of Contracts (FIDIC), General Conditions of Contracts (Familiar with QCS is preferred)
- Thorough understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Primavera advanced skills is required.
- Working knowledge of ACAD is preferred
- Expert knowledge of building materials products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Managing all trades and specialized subcontracts with technical construction knowledge for coordination: ( MEP subcontractors including firefighting and alarm systems, Aluminum, glazing and stone Facades, Post tensioning, water proofing, piles foundations, etc )
- Knowledge and exposure to HSE requirements
- Excellent communication Skills.
