Subcontracts Administrator, Global Main Contractor - Qatar

Our client is a multi-discipline international contractor with live projects across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Their project portfolio ranges from high value new-build (Commercial, Residential, Health Care, Education) to large scale Infrastructure (Rail, Metro, Roads, Highways and Expressways.)

They are currently looking for an experienced Subcontracts Administrator to be part of their Commercial team in Qatar overseeing a large infrastructure scheme.

This position will report into the Senior Contracts Manager and will be responsible for;
- Daily reviews of all contracts documents and ensuring that the necessary steps are put in place.
- Developing, preparing and administering regular reports, correspondences, control sheets related to contracts and commercial activities of projects
- Carefully and closely monitoring all contractual communications, daily correspondences and highlighting contractual disputes.
- Preparation of Claims / EOTs

Requirements

They require an experienced candidate who has excellent contractual understanding / expertise. They do not just want your classic Quantity Surveyor.

The person they bring on board needs to have;
- In depth knowledge of all forms of construction contracts, particularly FIDIC.
- Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
- Track record working as a Contracts Administrator with a reputable contractor in the Middle East.
- Experience within Roads and Infrastructure projects preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of construction laws and practice.
- Claims experience would be preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written.)
