Job description / Role
Systems Engineer (Middleware) - Hamad International Airport - Doha
As Systems Engineer you will be part of the team engaged in development and support of applications by undertaking different roles as and when required by project and by the Project Manager/Team Lead. Activities may involve software design, development, testing, quality assurance and support. Develop and enhance programs to the specified requirements. You must ensure error-free code within agreed time-scales, using Open source ESB technologies like Apache Camel, ServiceMIx, JAVA, J2EE, spring, Hibernate.
You will conduct root cause analysis of reported incidents in operational systems and ensure right changes to the code, test and promote following the standard change management process. You must work with solution architects to design the technical architecture to meet business requirements. In this role you must have a solid understanding of the fundamental stages within the delivery lifecycle of Open source ESB technology with experience of Integration. You must have strong experience in OOP, UML, Object Oriented analysis and design. Strong understanding of Design Patterns and experience in IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
Requirements
To be successful in the role you must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in either Computer Science or Engineering with 5-8 years of industry/domain experience with at least 4 years of extensive hands-on experience of working on JAVA, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel, and Jboss/Tomcat. You must have experience working in RDBMS (Oracle/MySQL/MSSQL/Postgres). You must have excellent troubleshooting skills, especially on complex application stacks.
You should have good working knowledge in UNIX, SCM (Source Code Management), ANT/Maven/Gradle and a good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. You must have a strong understanding of design and coding best practices with JAVA, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Camel, and Jboss/Tomcat. Strong understanding of Design Patterns is highly desirable. You must be proficient in written and spoken English.
