Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We have a new opportunity with an established client who is looking to hire a Technical Auditor. This role will be responsible for evaluating all internal controls, accuracy of reported information and compliance within the organisation policies and procedures within the technical operational which includes Engineering, HSE and Infrastructure Projects.

About the role
Your duties will providing technical audits and assessments of all on-going projects, engineering, maintenance activities, as well as HSE operations, performing controlled GAP analysis and recommend improvements. You will identify deficiencies, operational problems and other areas for improvement, as well as review technical documents utilising engineering concepts and technical expertise to improve service delivery and efficiency. Accountabilities also include all internal audit plans and executions such as planning audit assignments, approaches and procedures and all logistics on pre/post audit meetings along with performing investigations, if required. In addition, you will be responsible for field planning, finalizing audit reports and conducting detailed audit work by performing substantive tests of details and test of controls.

Requirements

To be considered you will have a Degree in engineering with a minimum 5 years' relevant experience in the Ports/Terminal industry within internal audit/ compliance/ risk management or inspections or testing roles. You will have a solid awareness of corporate governance, risk management processes, local regulatory policies and will have excellent numerical and analytical skills. Along with your refined communication and presentation skills you will have worked with various internal/external stakeholders and will have a good understanding of the GCC culture and working environment. Proficiency in English is a must and Arabic would be highly advantageous.
