Job description / Role
COWI Qatar Bridge and Transportation Department requires an experienced Technical Design Manager within the Transportation Infrastructure Division.
We are looking for a dynamic, resourceful, and multi-skilled colleague with demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate staff and supporting cross-functional project teams.
You will be part of COWI Qatar's Bridge & Transportation Department with specific responsibility for Technical Design Management and Delivery of Transportation projects.
You will be assisting colleagues in other departments in writing proposals for large transportation and infrastructure projects.
In addition, you should have the ability to frequently travel to the Indian Sub-Continent in-order to support our production office.
Requirements
- Min Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of overall Highway Infrastructure Design experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Technical Manager on Highway Infrastructure Design Projects
- Experience in leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working on roadways and highways, complex interchanges, utilities and traffic management & planning works
- Knowledge of Traffic Impact Studies
- Experience working on Design-Build projects is preferred
- Professional experience from the Middle East is also preferred
- Professional License: PE or CEng or the ability to obtain one is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- The candidate is expected to work alongside multidisciplinary infrastructure design teams and diversity in his experience is desired
