Job description / Role
Technical Systems Manager (Rail) - Qatar
Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Technical Systems Manager to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the interface between different disciplines within the Systems departments, including Signalling, SCADA, Telecommunications, Rolling Stock, etc.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding documentation, design submissions, conflict avoidance, and status monitoring
• Monitoring and ensuring the rail projects are delivered in accordance with the company’s requirements for quality and safety
• Managing the technical information in the Systems Team
Requirements
• Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 8 years’ experience, with 5 years within the railway industry working for large consultancies or end clients
• Strong technical knowledge of railway systems (i.e. signalling, telecom, rolling stock, SCADA, etc.)
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East is essential
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and general IT skills
