URBAN RAIL SIGNALLING (URS)

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A TELECOM SYSTEM CONFIGURATION ENGINEER TO JOIN THE THALES URBAN RAIL SIGNALLING (URS) TEAM IN QATAR.

The Telecom System Configuration Engineer will deliver the Telecom system configuration for Doha Metro project. Telecom System configuration will include placement of all telecom systems on maps and managing the changes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate Deliveries from each provider (IVVQ Manager of off-shore units) based on Baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL)
- Coordinate with internal teams to receive latest designs/drawings showing the telecom devices.
- Add the devices and link them to maps.
- Coordinate with offshore teams.
- Integrate the Deliveries from each provider (IVVQ Manager of off-shore and On-Shore units) based on Baselines (To be deployed, As build, As delivered, As deployed)
- Organize the CCB with on-shore and off-shore units for all disciplines
- Manage Baselines in configuration management tool, produce Configuration data documents
- Ensure consistency and efficiency of the process.
- Manage the life cycle of this activity by ensuring changes are captured and devices properly maintained.
- Participate & Support of Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification, T&C activities.
- Responsible for Technical Qualification Review

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Electrical/Electronics/Computers or related field required.


- Previous Experience in telecom systems configuration, Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification, Testing and Commissioning.
- Knowledge of Metro systems (Tunnel ventilation, Power, Platform screen doors, Telecoms, BACS, Maintenance systems), telecom systems such as CCTV, ACS, PAS, SCADA, etc., configuration process, SCADA configuration tools (Wonderware and PCvue)
