Track Design Alignment Engineer

Our client is looking to hire a Track Design Alignment Engineer for Doha metro project in Qatar. This is a long term opportunity because our client has a long term contract with the Doha Metro.

Responsibilities:
- Report directly to Track Design Manager during the design phase then also to the Track work Manager during the construction phase.
- Interface with the MSI contractors track design and survey teams.
- Organize review sessions, as appropriate, to review alignment design documents, submittals, reports, shop drawings, calculation notes and related design documents.
- Review and monitor the MSI contractors final alignment designs, activities and submissions including structure gauges and clearances verifications through alignment studies.
- Manage the PMCS SONO review and approval process to confirm that the final vertical and horizontal alignment data, track diagrams, specifications, shop drawings and change documents are correct and compliant with the employers requirements.
- Review and manage alignment interfaces with PMC/civil contractors and alignment changes between client/PMCS, MSI, and other PMCs.
- Review and monitor MSI alignment interfaces with the rolling stock designs, conductor rail system designs, and signaling systems and operations requirements.
- Review MSI construction method statements, procedures and activities associated with the survey and setting out activities.
- Monitor alignment design progress including reviewing and updating the MSI contractors design program and list of deliverables, and producing progress reports on the same.
- Review and monitor MSI survey as-built activities, carry out the SONO process for alignment red line data and as-built drawings
- Review and monitor MSI alignment interfaces with the civils, Review track/structure interaction studies, reports in the mainline tunnels, at-grade and elevated sections, stations, and depots alignments.
- Review and monitor the MSI contractors interfaces with civil contractors for reference bench marks and reference survey control points.

As Account Manager, the position will see the individual working very closely with several large accounts where you will be responsible for identifying and targeting new opportunities to provide a range of IT solutions and services related to Cisco technologies. This will also involve working with the internal Pre-Sales and Architect Teams to then support the customer with their requirements so a strong technical knowledge of Cisco will be required.

Requirements

- Have at least 10 years of overall experience
- Have 5 years minimum experience performing similar duties on a light rail or electrified commuter rail system
- Be a B.Sc, BEng, BA or Equivalent holder
- Be familiar with similar systems
