Job description / Role
TS Controller (Data Protection) - Qatar Airways - Doha
In this role you will responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing the multisite, multi domain Veritas Netbackup environment, Storage platform and Disaster Recovery environment for Business applications hosted on Unix/Windows technology for Qatar Airways and its its subsidiaries Data Centres.
You will have to ensure availability, integrity and security of data and information pertaining to the Organization. You will research, develop, test and evaluate specialized storage and backup technologies/ products. You will provide technical consultancy and guidance to the team members, support teams and Information Services teams whenever required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you must hold a Diploma / Degree in a subject relevant to IT. You must have 10 years of related systems engineering experience and 5+ years of recent experience with Data protection & Storage technologies, including specific experience with Veritas NetBackup multi-domain architecture.
You must have excellent knowledge and implementation skills on Veritas NetBackup product, IBM storages and disaster recovery technologies. You must have experience with SHELL & Perl scripting for automation of configuration. You must have knowledge and understanding of information technology operations, responsibilities, processes and procedures.
