Utilities Works Supervisor

Job description / Role

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and control systems, heating, ventilating, water supply, steam generating, and related pipe systems.
• Performs other duties as described under supervisor Master Title.
• May compile reports of cost of completed work.
• May inspect systems to determine preventative maintenance needs.
• May supervise workers engaged in maintaining and repairing processing equipment and machinery.
• May supervise workers engaged in maintaining buildings and grounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in management or other relevant industry field is preferred
• Extensive knowledge of management theory and its practical applications in the workplace
• Experience overseeing yearly training plans for departments within the company
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
• Experience analyzing company needs, employee development and goal setting
• Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
• Instructional experience in a group business setting preferred
• Proficient using Microsoft Suite and other data entry software
• Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple company initiatives simultaneously
