Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Site Inspector will play a key role in ensuring that contractors and subcontractors to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and other relevant stakeholders are complying with the requirements of the SC’s Workers’ Welfare Standards (WW Standards).

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and complete audit field work, (interviewing employers and workers, inspecting work and accommodation sites etc.) to monitor compliance with the WW Standards
- Prepare update reports for the Compliance & Enforcement Manager, as well as other documentation as required
- Provide advice on the best practices and recommended improvements
- Follow up on the implementations of the recommended improvements
- Conduct training for relevant contractor personnel to ensure adherence by contractors of the WW Standards
- Update Audit checklists as required and make recommendations regarding the WW Standards
- Must have the ability to function both individually and as part of a team
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job
- Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
- To a high standard of quality and timeliness
- In full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
- In line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system

Requirements

- Human/Social related degree
- Should have 5-8 years on hands experience in dealing with workers’ welfare and HSE related topics
- Experience in working with camps
- Must have the ability to comprehend & apply Qatar legislation
- Knowledge of language(s) spoken by migrant workers is desirable (Preferably Hindi)
- Responsible for organizing & scheduling audits & analysing results
- Must possess the ability to establish a relationship of confidence with various stakeholders
- Must have the ability to function both individually and as part of a team
- Must possess valid Qatar drivers’ license
- Computing skills
