Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a private holding group based in Riyadh with business interest in Europe, Asia, Africa. They are in a phase of expansion and are building their corporate functions to enable them to move to their next phase of growth, and currently seek a CFO to build and lead their new finance function.

The Chief Financial Officer will provide both operational and commercial support to the organization. The CFO will hire capable and experienced staff to build the finance function and thereafter supervise the finance unit; the CFO is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and directly assists on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
- Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
- Work with the CEO on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships, as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts.
- Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the CEO in identifying new opportunities, the drafting of prospective budgets, and determining cost effectiveness
- Assess the benefits of all prospective contracts and
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved

Requirements

- MUST be happy to be based in Riyadh, KSA
- MUST currently be GCC based (applicants outside the GCC will not be contacted)
- Chartered Qualified Accountant (this is a mandatory requirement)
- 15 years experience in finance
- Experience working in a corporate investments environment (but not banking)
- Evidence of building a finance function
- Fluency in English
