Job description / Role

Our client, one of the big contracting / construction Company in KSA. They are currently recruiting for a Farm Manager to manage our farm which is located 100 KM west of Riyadh (KSA). You will be directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer

Farm Manager to manage our farm which is located 100 KM west of Riyadh (KSA). The Farm Manger is responsible for managing and maintaining’s shareholders farms in the best possible state. He is accountable for the year-round/ continuous maintenance and operations of the farm as a whole, and for harvesting the farm. He will also be responsible for supervising any activities within the owned farm, including, operations and maintenance, construction, infrastructure, facilities, and project supervision.

He is the single point of access for all stakeholders and consultants, and shall coordinate all Farm related issues with the company's Admin department to aid general approvals, financial approvals, decision making, processing and human resources. He will have the necessary authority to lead the farm, plan its future vision and call upon the support of all Employees and Consultants involved in the operations on the Farm.

The Farm Manager must also have technical and practical knowledge and experience in Organic Farming.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain the farm, and provide general supervision over the farm in all sectors, without technical intervention in the sector of Horse stables and Palm Trees.
- Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the following main fields:
- Develop and implement the needed plans and prepare the technical programs and fertilization schedules, and service tables for all plants in the farm with assistance and coordination from experts at the farm.
- Carefully Follow-up on the daily routines of the farm (irrigation – cleaning – grassing – cutting-... Etc), such interaction reflects the farm manager's abilities in working with and managing human resources at the farm.
- Provide logistical support to all segments of farm (water for Palm Trees– water and power supply for the horses – maintenance, cleanliness, and transportation in some cases – electrical or plumbing repairs – water desalination plant ... ... Etc.
- Responsible for management of the key operations on the farm including the coordination of the stakeholders and consultants.
- Responsible for restructuring the farm to set clear roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders at the farm and assists in running the adequate system and procedures as required for smooth operations, set up and implement an Organization Structure for all operations of the farm with clear hierarchies, job descriptions and processing guidelines, and develop future visions and time schedules for implementations.
- Prepare monthly report of the farm status to be raised to the CEO, including its performance compared to the plan and its expected future.
- Organization of work on the site depending on seasons, which requires changing the number of workers at a particular location in different situations.
- Completely responsible for filling the tables prepared to facilitate workflows, which are considered the reliable reference document for extracting data and figures which should later formulate a correct and accurate database that will be used as a base for making decisions related to the farm.
- Supervise the implementation of all approved programs and will be liable and responsible to ensure completion of all works handed to departments under his management in a timely manner.
- Gate Security personnel and all warehouses supervisors report directly to the farm manager personally to ensure that nothing enters or exits the farm without direct coordination with the farm manager.
- Should be well-informed and aware of each and every party which executes any work or project inside the farm, and must be aware and informed of the nature of the agreement with such parties and the implementation steps, as well as provide administrative follow-up of the works without technical intervention, since the farm manager resides on the site.
- Liaise with all concerned departments to make sure all required resources for the year-round farm maintenance and operations are secured, and the best-in-class techniques and practices are applied.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree of agriculture, engineering, or another related major
- Postgraduate studies in similar subjects are preferred
- 15+ years of experience in agriculture, farm management, operations and maintenance, and supervision of infrastructure and construction.
- At least 5 years of experience in farm management role.
- Experience in KSA is a must
- Open to all nationalities in the Middle East now

KEY SKILLS:
- Advanced agricultural acumen
- Strong managerial, leadership and planning skills.
- High interest in new agricultural technologies
- Full proficiency in both Arabic and English.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia – the Farm Manager will reside in the Farm.
