Geologist (Water Treatment) 6 month contract - Dammam, Saudi Arabia

The role is for a Geologist and will assist in overseeing the construction of the wells and associated testing of soil.

Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring and inspection of construction work in accordance with quality requirements
- Monitoring and inspection of construction Civil work in accordance with quality requirements.
- Experience in reviewing shop drawings and vendors' submittals.
- Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
- Daily field supervision on actual execution of works according to drawings and specifications.
- Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the contract documentation and method statements
- Liaison with the contractor on all construction related matters
- Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works

Requirements

- Bachelor of science from recognized university
- Practical experience of no less than (10 years) in the field of supervision of the ground excavation works and full omniscience of the works of wells.
- At least the last three years of the period of experience shall be in similar projects.
- English
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
- Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
- Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
- Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
- Reporting to Project Manager
