Our client, a property development firm that is part of one of the largest Saudi holding groups of companies globally, seeks to recruit a Head of Development Property and Real Estate to join their firm and drive multiple real estate projects in Saudi Arabia. The groups projects are based in Riyadh, Jeddah and Makkah with responsibilities being from conceptualisation to project handover.

Reporting to the CEO and managing a development team of 4, the responsibilities for this role include:
- Establish the real estate development department and build a qualified multi-disciplinary development management services team.
- Leadership and managing of the development management team including performance management and monitoring of works.
- Strategic development leadership and implementation for the firms real estate projects pipeline in Saudi Arabia which comprises up to 10 concurrent projects.
- Preparation of development plans (including market research, due diligence reports, financial analysis, investment strategy, pricing, sale and lease strategy, risk register and exit strategy) of the real estate projects for the firm.
- Prepare the development delivery strategy for real estate projects.
- Provide updates of the performance of the real estate portfolio of projects.
- Manage the preparation and regular review of the project specific development and design briefs to ensure its alignment with the project objectives.
- Review property laws and provide advice on its impact to company development.
- Set out the sales and marketing strategies and manage the implementation plan and its alignment with the market drivers, real estate trends, and highest best use analyses.
- Oversee and review preparation of project specific Development and Design briefs to reflect project intent and objectives.
- Develop and actively lead the risk mitigation measures to ensure that the projects meet profit and turnover targets.
- Manage internal and external teams to ensure that feasibility, program, design, technical, quality and leasing specifications of projects are achieved through to completion and handover.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or comparable.
- Minimum of 15 years of development management experience on major real estate development projects including master planned land developments, hotels and residential project.
- Substantial experience managing the real estate development process, from project initiation, acquisition, to project structuring, design, construction, commission and operation.
- Proven expertise in development management, feasibilities, consultant liaison and program management is essential.
- Experience in the MENA property sector is highly desirable with candidates with experience with Mecca based projects being highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities with strong organizational skills and capacity to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and drive to succeed.
