Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: This position involves supporting the assigned project(s) by providing site based support and supervision to proactively coordinate the various activities of the project – Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing – to ensure timely delivery and adherence to schedules.

Reporting to: Project Manager

Main responsibilities:
- Monitoring site progress and quality of MEP (mechanical, plumbing, electrical) works and compliance with approved shop drawings and installation schedules
- Co-ordination with MEP subcontractor both at site level and with subcontractor’s engineers
- To be part of proactive Construction Site Team
- Monitoring and reporting site progress and compliance with specification and drawings
- Above-mentioned are the only some of the responsibilities of this role and are not limited to the same

Probation: 6 months

Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (indicative)
Travel requirements: Occasional travel in the region
Gross monthly base salary: Negotiable

Requirements

- University Qualifications: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent

Nature and length of previous experience:
- Healthcare experience is preferable
- At least 10 years of Civil / Building Construction experience
- Must have worked as a Site Engineer site previously and be experienced enough to be able to clearly instruct and delegate work and understand time requirements of installation
- At least 10 years of working experience in the related (MEP) sector

Soft Skills and Personality traits:
- Technical competence in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services Experience in Design, and contracting works.
- Experience in working within a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Application (word, excel, outlook)
- Communicates effectively both orally and on paper
- Has a systematic and methodological approach
- Be a dependable & hardworking team player

Language Fluency: English (mandatory), Arabic (beneficial)
