Pre-Sales Consultant - Safenet

Gemalto

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Ref: OP197-12

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking to hire a high potential Pre-sales Consultant to join our team in Saudi covering a range of enterprise security solutions such as authentication technologies, hardware security modules (HSMs), cloud encryption, key management and data protection solutions.

Gemalto is seeking a Pre-sales Consultant responsible for supporting regional sales managers, as well as Gemalto distributors and channel partners predominantly in Saudi Arabia and MEA territories. The Pre-sales job is a customer-facing position that includes solution design, product presentations and demonstrations, as well as the technical architecting and implementation of a range of SafeNet Enterprise Security products and solutions. These activities would take place remotely via web conferencing tools, as well as on-site at partner and customer premises within Saudi and the MEA region.

This position will be the first Pre-Sales team member in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and it is therefore important that the candidate is a good self-starter with an ability to work well with the local sales team. The person selected for the role will be well supported by Pre-Sales team members throughout the MEA and EMEA region, but it is expected that they develop their skills such that they can act as the first contact for the majority of the technical requests in the region. A keenness and an aptitude to quickly get familiar with new products and concepts will be critical to this individuals success as they engage with a wide selection of products from Gemaltos portfolio.

The Presales Consultant supports Gemalto sales teams & channel partners while working independently with customers. As the position is a pre-sales role, hands-on work will be required during proof-of-concept engagements and product evaluations, and so candidates should have a strong technical background and an exposure to software development.

The candidate will work with regional sales personnel, business development representatives and Gemalto channel partners to assist in the pre-sales process and to conduct follow-up as required. This work will involve the review of customer requirements, response to customer and/or partner enquiries including pre-sales bids, the review of customer architectures, on-site pre-sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations and training of partners and customers. The role will also encompass the technical project management of larger engagements with customers as they look to evaluate and architect SafeNet products into their environments.

As a customer-facing role, interpersonal skills and a smart, professional appearance are paramount. The ability to clearly present detailed technical product data to decision makers and to be organised such that this can be backed up with reliable and timely follow-up material is a necessity. The candidate will be expected to develop and foster good technical relationships with customers, partners and colleagues to assist with sales as well as with customer satisfaction and retention.

The role will be split between office-based work and business travel and focused predominantly in Saudi Arabia and less frequently within the MEA region. It is therefore necessary that the candidate is willing and able to travel throughout that region. The ability to speak English is essential.
